Bert Gordon is a recurring character in Virgin River. He is the local tow truck driver and mechanic in the town of Virgin River.
History[]
Not much is known about Bert’s past other than the fact that for an unknown reason he was adopted by a man named Franklin. At some point in time he took over at the repair shop owned by Franklin, who was a mechanic. Bert followed a similar path. He met his wife Shirley after they were introduced to each other by Lilly Anderson.
He helped tow Mel's car on her first day in Virgin River.
While trying to help Gene Sackheim, Melissa's right hand, he hurts his hand on his tyre and later tests positive for Fentanyl. Having earlier been rushed in the clinic, Doc explains to him that he may have been exposed to it somewhere. He is unaware that he touched that car by the side of the road at the start of the episode and cut his hand open. This explains the exposure.
During the fire in Virgin River, he helps Lizzie and Denny get safe to the bar.
