Sam Sheridan is Amelia's husband and Brie and Jack's father.
History[]
He was very angry and never approved of Jack joining the Marines. He always had a better relationship with Brie than Jack.
When he comes to visit Jack and Brie in season 4, he is surprised to learn that Jack is expecting twins with Charmaine and is not even with her, but instead has a new girlfriend, Mel. Jack finally speaks to his father plainly, admitting that he’s happy with his life and wants Sam to respect that. Sam does begrudgingly agree to respect his decision and heads over to Jack’s for a bite to eat. The reason behind his appearance is to tell his children about his and Amelia's divorce.
When he and Amelia were separated, she was dating Javi for a while.
He shows up on Christmas and sees Amelia with her new boyfriend, Javi. Sam is very furious and wants to leave but after Brie and Jack intervene, he ends up having a lot in common with Javi.
He later shows up for Mel and Jack's wedding. Brie is surprises to see him reconcile with Amelia. Amelia tells her a touching answer about true love which makes Brie question her choices. Amelia decided to try one more time with Sam, because they love each other very much and owe it to themselves to try.
